Our client has a locum job vacancy for a social worker to work within a youth offending team based in South West London. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and a pay rate of £28-32 per hour (limited company worker). Senior Practice Manager Youth Offending
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced YOS Senior Practice Manager to work in one of South London’s top local authorities. My client is looking for an experienced Practice Manager (Referral Order Team) with a sound background and experience in Youth Offending Services to join their busy, fast paced and Pro Active Team. You will play an integral role in the team contributing to Intervention/Supervision plans, Panel Reports, Supervision of Service users and Represent the Youth Offending Service at Community & Multi Agency Team meetings and provide background information and advice to Panel members, all in accordance with national standards. Further experience is required in the following fields: • Good report writing & assessment skills (will hold reduced case load) • Experience of supervising YOT case workers ( 2 or 3 staff) • Experience of quality assuring / auditing reports / assessments / intervention plans • Knowledge and experience of referral orders, youth offender panels and restorative justice My client is interested in hearing from applicants who have held a previous YOS qualified roles and would be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision. The main purposes and responsibilities are as follows: • Contribute to the Divisional and Service Plans by working in partnership with other agencies to prevent offending and re-offending by children and young people. • Contribute to the development and implementation of a range of effective solutions to youth crime and anti social behaviour. • Promote the welfare, capacity for change and social inclusion of children and young people. • Develop bail support programmes, devise and present packages to the Youth Court and supervise young people on Bail Support and Supervision programmes. • Responsible for the management of a caseload and to identify, develop and deliver, in partnership with other YOS staff and relevant external partner agencies, appropriate interventions and preventative initiatives, designed to prevent or reduce re-offending and anti-social behaviour by young offenders. • Consult with young people and their carers to improve and identify new working practices In return my client is offering a full time position for a minimum of three months and a high possibility of extension.
