Floating Support Officer (London Wide)
As a Floating Support Worker, you will devise individual support plans for individuals from a variety of client groups including medium needs mental health, ex homeless and victims of substance abuse who are currently on bail awaiting trial that are responsive to the need of the individual and his/her family. You will also provide a range of support measures that will help and empower these individuals. Due to the nature of the work, you must act in a professional manner at all times – keeping good records, communicating effectively and sharing information as appropriate. You must also understand and comply with the standards as required. We are looking for individuals who are organised, professional and committed to people being included in their communities. You must have previous experience of Support Work and risk assessments and be flexible in terms of availability and approach to providing support. We are looking for someone to start ASAP on a full-time basis and you will need your own transportation. Please note that this role will include travel throughout London. Specialist Support Officer
Our client, a large provider of both general needs and supported Housing within London are looking to recruit three Specialist Support Workers to operate in their North London Supported (Residential) Schemes. These roles operate on a rota basis and will include people management as well as client support responsibilities. The full responsibilities of the role are as below;Undertake group & one to one interventions of a specialist nature (e.g. CBT, DANOS etc.)Provide a comprehensive support planning service to customers in line with the department’s policies, procedures and approach.Ensure customers are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities regarding the service, and are enabled and empowered to get involved in the running of the service through consultation and participation.Set up and maintain customer files and ensure that accurate and up to date records are kept of support provided to customers in accordance with HCS policies.Make full use of IT & other technologies for appropriate tasks, including the use of word processing, spreadsheets, email etc.Where appropriate, complete all tasks to meet targets towards minimising voids In accommodation based services, liaise closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection and address other tenancy-related matters.Support customers to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education and work. The successful candidates will have;A clinical qualification and background in Counselling, Occupational Therapy or psychotherapy.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.Ability to communicate effectively in writing including the preparation of letters reports & file notes.Demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable adultsExperience of undertaking customer assessments, support planning and key-working with a clear outcome focus. Support & Care Officer's
A Care & Support Workers role has been made available by a large Housing Association. It is a freelance 3 month full time 40 hours per week position with the view to go ongoing Temp to perm at the clients discretion. The role is with the Elderly service - predominantly female service users. Personal care will be part of the role but no sleep ins required.
