Temporary Purchasing Assistant / Re-Keyer
Purpose of job To synchronise care packages for Adult Social Care between the Care Management system and the Social Care Payments system Key Objectives- 1 To re-key care packages that have been recorded on Frameworki by Social Workers into the Social Care Payments System on a daily basis 2 To amend existing care packages or create new care packages 3 To ensure the two systems’ care packages are synchronised 4 To communicate / escalate any issues that need clarifying from the social workers or Frameworki Support . The role holder will report to the Purchasing and Procurement Systems Manager on a daily basis. This is a key role sitting between Adult Social Care and the Payments/Financial Assessment system. The role holder must have an eye for detail and a willingness to ensure data accuracy and attention to detail. The suitable applicant will be working largely independently by re-keying care packages from one database to another. The role holder will be confident with learning and navigating two or more complex databases and will have an understanding of how data is related to other parts of the systems and the interdependency of clean accurate data. The suitable applicant will treat all information viewed and re-keyed as strictly confidential and will only view information on a need to know basis. This role requires excellent communication skills and a confidence to talk to social workers, support staff and finance teams Work Profile (outline the main areas of responsibility and accountability and competencies)Working within a small team the role holder will receive daily re-key reports based on the previous days commissioning/amendments to care packages on the Adult Social Care DatabaseThe re-key reports give a high level view of changes. The role holder will then investigate in more detail, interpret and re-key those changes into the Payments systemRe-keying requires attention to the types of care, quantity, costs and budget codesAny concerns, missing codes etc needs to be raised with their line manager on a daily basis to enable the re-key to progress and be completely in a timely waySome changes to an existing already complex care package may need clarification before re-keyingThe role holder will need to communicate with The Social Worker, Support and Finance Teams to answer queries or seek clarification. This role is available until March 2015 with possibility of it being extended to 18 months. The suitable candidate will either have experience working within adult social care or experience working within finance.
