This team is a global group of 45 full time staff, focussed on consulting to clients on all aspects of custody, securities lending, transitions and operational risk assessments. The three main operating hubs are London (19 people), Chicago (7 people) and Sydney (7 people).

e looking to continue to build their specialist investment manager operational risk assessment team, which assesses whether investment managers have appropriate governance, investment operations and controls in place. They
e looking to employ an analyst who wishes to build a career in this fast growing sector of the financial services industry. Whilst they expect you individual to have some relevant operational experience, you will be supported, coached and developed on-the-job and will have access to company career development tools.
You will work as part of a team of analysts and consultants and will be based in London, along with all other members of the UK operational risk assessment team (totalling 7 people).
Key duties will include the following:
? Working as part of a team to conduct operational risk assessments on investment managers? operations and control functions, including on-site due diligence;
? Liaising with investment managers to collate information, co-ordinate on-site visits and schedules;
? Drafting one-off and periodic client reports on the findings of operational risk assessments;
? Participating in meetings to present reports and related findings to colleagues, investment managers and clients;
? Assisting with requests for proposals and other client presentational materials;
? Supporting consultants in providing information regarding services to clients;
? Conducting ad-hoc projects to enhance global consulting work.
? Helping to increase the profile of division within the company and in the wider investment community and responding to general enquiries from field consultants.
There will be a limited amount of travel in Europe as part of the role.
? Experience in an operational role either directly in operational due diligence, fund accounting or similar within the financial services industry;
? Basic knowledge of investment management principles, market conditions and relevant legislation;
? 2.1 or equivalent in any numerate or semi-numerate degree discipline;
? Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.;
? Takes ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date;
? Works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks;
? Has excellent organisational and time management skills;
? Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills;
? Willing to undertake research and share knowledge and experience, learn from others, give and receive feedback and contribute in a team environment;
? Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn - keeps up-to-date with the investment industry, market conditions, etc.
