Assistant Income Officer
We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Income Recovery Officer for a temporary 12 week contract in Preston, Lancashire. A vacancy has arisen within my clients busy Housing Management team for an experienced income recovery assistant to join their busy rent team. The Successful applicant will join the team on a 12 week temporary contract and support the Management team and officers maximise the the groups income recovery by identifying customers in arrears. You will be responsible for providing a first class customer focused income recovery service to residents across Preston and Lancashire Duties will include Monitoring Rent Accounts for a designated patch of properties Contacting residents in writing and over the phone to discuss customer rent accounts Arrange and process payment of rent arrears Discuss available options with residents whose accounts are in arrears Providing comprehensive basic Housing, Benefit and Welfare advice to help residents maximise their income Responding to customer rental account enquires Updating the in house database with customer details and change of details Liaising with other divisions within the housing association General administration duties We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working in a Housing Management role Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers. Income Officer - Warrington
Eden Brown are seeking an Income Specialist in Warrington temporarily for 1 month initially, with a view to role being extended JOB PURPOSE: To maximise the income through case management actions with residents in arrears or those identified at risk of non payment. To assist residents in maintaining their tenancy by ensuring that they meet their obligations with regard to Charges payable. Where arrears occur that these are dealt with in a prompt and sensitive manner, making sure that appropriate referrals are made to internal or external services that can assist with this. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES COMPETENCIES To maximise the Income by identifying customers in debt and taking prompt action to assist residents to meet their charge obligations. Communicate with residents using their preferred method of contact to establish their circumstances the reason for the debt and agree an action plan to repay the debt explaining the consequences of non- payment; provide options and advice to customers regarding repayment and future debt prevention Co-ordinate and monitor all legal proceedings in relation to current or former tenant rent arrears, leasehold and service charges and rechargeable amounts including attendance at court to representProvide customers with basic advice with regard to benefits and budgeting, acknowledging when further more specialist advice is required and make the appropriate referrals. Assist customers in maintaining their relationship with the Housing Benefits/DWP in support of benefit claims. Assist customers, where requested, by identifying residents who need a referral to the Financial wellbeing team. Maintain relationships with key local service providers such as Local Authorities, SP authorities, and voluntary sector agencies that can support residents in maintaining their tenancys. Work closely with colleagues and other areas of the business to assist customers. KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE Experience of managing Income KPI targets to achieve successful outcomes for an organisation or tenants Strong track record of arrears management and high performance with an emphasis on customer care The ability to effectively communicate with residents regarding often sensitive issues and reach agreed outcomes Able to play a role in the ‘team approach to all aspects activity and provide such cover for absent colleagues as may be reasonably requested.
