Building Services Technical Analyst
My client is UKs one of the biggest utilities provider. They are dedicated to building, owning and operating electricity, gas, water and heat networks throughout the UK for new and existing residential and commercial developers. With a proven track record for delivery and our most successful year to date, our Heat Networks business is looking for a committed and flexible individual who is keen to learn and provide technical support for the teams ambitious growth plans. The Heat Team currently operates 11 district heating schemes and they are developing many more proposals for new developments across the UK based on CHP and renewable heat solutions. They are looking for a Technical Analyst who is keen to learn and develop in the business. The role will be responsible for providing technical support to our Business Development Managers in their bidding work. You will support our district heating and energy centre construction and associated adoption activities including providing modelling and data analysis support to the commercial, technical and operations team including fault, efficiency and complaints across schemes to see what can be learnt. You will assist in witnessing of plant commissioning and performance evaluation, evaluating designs of prospective schemes and focusing on reliability and lifecycle costing of plants, while keeping up to speed with current policy developments and ensuring the library of technical documents and specifications is updated and in-use. Training and support will be given to help you develop these skills. To be successful in the role you will be a customer focused team player who is self motivated articulate, confident and tenacious. You will have a relevant Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Energy) degree or ideally have previous experience of district heating / LTHW building services. A desire to drive, develop and promote renewable and energy efficiency is essential for this role. Experience of some the following will be beneficial: • Energy Pro, SAP and SBEM models • Policy impacting upon DH , CHP, renewable heat, private wire • Ground source heat pumps • Chilled water systems • BMS programming (Trend) • Heat metering and AMR systems If you can demonstrate a strong focus on personal and corporate safety, are pro-active, self motivated, possess good organisational and problem solving skills, and hold a full UK driving licence then we want to hear from you.
